Same. I’m glad this is a thing. I’m a nerdy black guy about to finally graduate from an urban high school. I’m short, below average in the looks department and I’m pretty overweight (less of a problem at my school because fat guys just have to join the football team to be noticed) and not athletic. I’m really excited to have a place to vent about how truly invisible and unworthy I felt in high school.
Currently working on it. I’m down 15 pounds and my mom and sisters have started to take notice. But the main problem is that every girl I’ve approached at my school has immediately made it clear that they weren’t interested either because of my face, weight, lack of popularity or a combination of the three. Add those three in with openly discussion my affinity for anime, comics, gaming and science, you have a classic “help me cheat on the test but don’t speak to me in the hallway” kind of situation with every girl I’d tried to talk to.
Glad to hear you're working on it. Your face will defo change with the weight loss. 'Popularity' becomes far less important (but by no means obsolete) after highschool. You just have to occupy a respectable position in your friend group i.e. don't be the pushover or butt of every joke. I can speak from experience when I say you'll meet girls in your Uni that like all of those things. Btw you're cool af for having the balls to discuss them
As much as we meme personality here, it can help tremendously if your looks are that of a low-tier normie. Be honest yourself: How much of a pushover are you? How often do you allow people to walk over you? Assertiveness is paramount if you want to succeed with girls. You're very lucky that you're a youngcel, you have potential to escape by the time you hit college if you implement the right changes now. I don't mind coaching you through the process if that's what you'd prefer. If so, drop me a PM.
Jesus christ you're in high school. Half of people's experiences are like you but now you wanna throw in the towel with this lot? Give yourself a chance ffs
Leave while you can. This place is bad for you but tickles your dopamine glands like an addictive substance, making it impossible to leave once you're hooked.

Why not try losing the weight to see if it makes a difference?

It’s been this way through my entire life. Even when I was skinny. There are no more chances.
