The comments are the reason why I don't go to pretty much every single one of the major subs. Those that talk in reddit language are usually the awkward/ cringey ones you see IRL. Those sorts of people don't understand that reddit doesn't translate to real life.

Yup. Reddit comment section has become a front for karma whoring, thus becoming an echochamber. What annoys me more is that people don't reply to their own comments on being cross questioned after 1 day because they know they won't get imaginary internet points if they comment and not many will see it.
