It always annoyed me in high school when girls asked me what kind of music I liked, because I didn't listen to any other than in video games. LOL. Didn't have a car till I graduated, and to me music is something to listen to while driving; I don't sit around listening to it...unless I'm playing a video game. Its funny to see now they're the ones finding the question about music annoying.
Telling someone to "tell me about [expressed hobby or interest]" is just a quick way to start a conversation, not some kind of weird attempt to start an abusive relationship. Those women are very paranoid.
