I know it is tremendously unpopular on this subreddit to suggest any kind of self improvement, but I think that with some changes, maybe a well kept goT beard, laser surg/contacts, he could be fine. I disagree. He does need a lot of work, but I don't think he is as low as you are suggesting. I think that after he has done everything he could do as far as appearance, income, work on interpersonal skills (I'm not saying he just needs personality, I know that is a sore spot on this subreddit, but you must acknowledge that interpersonal skills are critical for someone to have in life, not just attracting a mate) he could easily top out at 7 or 8.
