I really don’t understand how anyone can turn from a boring serious person to a funny person. Whenever someone makes a joke, I immediately steal it because I can’t come up with anything on my own. I suck at observational comedy because I’m so dumb. Heck, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve mistaken sarcasm to be the real deal, i’d be rich. I don’t understand basic human humor at all.
I’ve pondered that for awhile, but I’m afraid a diagnosis could hurt my career. That and I have way too many health issues that I’m worried about and I just don’t want to bombard my doctor with all of them without sounding like a hypochondriac
Halo Effect makes beautiful people's words sound hilarious even if they're not. Ever noticed how the crowd cheers and laughs every time Chris Evans, Hemsworth, Henry Cavill... say anything at all or even literally just show up? Or how people make compilation videos of Daisy Ridley and others laughing? It's all about being pretty.

If she can genuinely laugh around you, it means she's comfortable around you. If she likes you, corny jokes will suffice.
If she dislikes you, no amount of comedic skill will get a laugh out of her.
Thus, humor is a good tool for DETECTING how she feels.
