It all ended when this one popular kid started harassing me, and I beat the living daylights out of him in front of the class during brake. You haven't told me about your experience and I never told you what has happened to you probably never happened. The difference between this is I'm not invalidating anyone's experiences based on the fact that it 'sounds like it's out of a movie.' You are. If you were to give me an anecdote I wouldn't immediately be skeptical as long as it was in the realm of believablility. No harm comes in me having respect for that person, but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to believe everything they say. Sure you can have your doubts but telling a victim to their face 'I don't believe you, it sounds fake.' is incredibly cunty. Your reply to someone trivialising and making fun of a bully victim is sort of childish.
It would make sense if these reports were made under some sort of authority. It would make sense at that point to not take every story by word. If misinformation is at stake then it's completely warranted. Otherwise it's unnecessarily contrarian.
