I was watching this documentary talking about the favelas in Brazil. It was saying how the gang situation was really bad there and a lot of people were dying (at the time). The people were pretty much unanimously against the violence. Poor guys had the option of buying a gun and joining a gang, or trying to study and find a job in a normal non-violent way. Women were against the violence as well, but they kept dating guys with guns while the honest guys stayed single. I mean I'm not going to blame the violence on the women, I imagine men had more power than women, but some of them were clearly hurting the situation. I think what is going on is that women are naturally attracted to alpha men. I'd like to say that they are more attracted to assertive behavior and strength over aggression. This is because the alpha is usually the most dominant and therefore the better protector for any children. Society is all confused but if we look and it from a biological standpoint it makes sense. I don't want to say that women are attracted to aggressive behavior because abuse is not ideal in raising a family or a desirable genetic trait. Aggression is being confused as dominant behavior but it's actually a lack of self discipline or self control. I can garuntee that if two men got into a fight and the aggressive one got his ass kicked the women would find the stronger of the two more attractive.
