I don't understand what's wrong with a 0-10 scale where 0 is worse than virtually everyone, 10 is better than virtually everyone, 1/10 implies bottom 10% (90% of population looks better than you), 9/10 means you mog 9/10 of the population, and so forth where 5/10 is average. Anyone who is like a 9.5 is, in stat terminology, unusually good looking and 0.5s are unusually ugly. This is the only we we can all stay on the same scale.

I prefer a bell curve. Kind of like with IQ where most people land around 100, with looks, most people would land around 5.
