Of course if he was literally ugly (to me), I'd have more of the "I hope he doesn't ask me out" thoughts, but since I have pretty bad social anxiety I would have that thought even if he was a Chad. I feel like I'd (and many females) would get a little stressed if any unknown male started talking to them. Again, I have some social anxiety so I can't speak for everyone. I just analyze the whole interaction down to every detail and wonder what I should have said/done differently.

Well, on the bright side "ugly" is subjective, and my personal threshold for ugly is pretty high. People on here seem to think if you're not Chad or Chad-lite you're a fucking disgrace, which is way too pessimistic. I honestly find average guys more attractive than that "Chad-ish" lot... perhaps because I'm more attracted to my looksmatch or whatever. I'm a realist!

Yeah. I am weird, I guess. I read a lot about psychology (I am an MD in psychiatry), and I started reading the incel forums about a year ago. It's intriguing to me, and I have a lot of sympathy for people who post in here... the feelings expressed here are valid, for the most part. I worry for people. I do not want anyone to be alone and in despair all the time, although I guess statistically it has to happen at times. I have been in two long-term relationships, and my current one (the second) is leading to marriage. So I by no means proclaim to be an incel! I met my fiancé in that computer game when I was using the name Kaleya, actually... Rambling now.
