Look, you seem to have good intentions and want to help, but this isn't quite the right thing to say. Confidence is not the root issue, it's just a symptom of the real problem. Confidence doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's only seen positively if you can actually back it up with something to be confident about, whether that is your looks, skills, achievements, career, character, etc. If you can justify your confidence with these, that's great. But if you act confident without anything to back it up, you're just making a fool out of yourself.

In short, it's technically true that it's good to be confident, but only because confidence is a product of real self-improvement, not because it is some independent thing that you can make yourself feel without any justification.

As a side note, it's definitely an exaggeration to say only 2% of women look down on virgins...I mean it's not 100%, but it's way higher than 2%.
