You have no idea how our species evolved do you? The average height continually increased due to the fact that the shorter men DID NOT reproduce. Our average height used to be in the low 5 ft range. It increased over time due to the taller men (many of which would be average today) reproducing. You also do not seem to understand how genetics work as you can still be 5'5 if you have 6ft parents. Genetics for height do not make you the same height as your parents but increase the likely hood of you ending up around their height to put it retardedly simple (this is an oversimplification, but you seem to have a poor understanding of this topic so I will not make it any more complicated than I have to).

Which has nothing to do with what I stated. You denied that natural selection has increased the heights of humans (particularly males) by attributing changes to nutrition. I countered that by telling you that different races have different heights which is due to natural selection and if nutrition is the only factor then we would expect the races to be of the same average height when in the same country (same access to nutrition). This is not the case though because natural selection has driven different races to have different average heights and that is the same underlying force that continues to exist in female mating preferences that make females desire taller men. I'm talking about evolution and you clearly have no understanding of evolution's impact on mate selection if you are trying to deny height preferences in mate selection which is one of the most well documented preferences that we know females have.
