The thing about the "incel community" is that, on paper, it's a wonderful idea that could provide an emotional support network for good people that are going through a rough time, but in practice, it degenerated into a breeding ground for sociopaths and budding serial killers. What should be a safe space for people struggling with severe depression has been hijacked by unequivocally shitty people that aren't man enough to accept their own limitations and face their fears head on, preferring to lay the blame for their own shortcomings on everyone but themselves. And it really pisses me off, because there are good people struggling with a very real problem, but the Incel community is encouraging them to handle it in the worst possible way.
I truly believe that about a third of the people here need and deserve help and support. They're genuinely good people that deserve to be happy, but rather than helping them take concrete steps towards bettering themselves, you're encouraging their worst, most self-destructive impulses.

It's not helping you or anyone else. It's making things worse for everyone else, full stop.
You guys don't need to do this. Your lives really can get better. Okay, so let's start by getting a couple of bullet points out of the way:
1) I do not speak for all of Incel Tears and only learned of it about two weeks ago, but I understand its general vibe and largely agree with it.
2) There are some genuinely bad people in the Incel community that may actually pose a physical threat to others. You and I may disagree on how many there are, but it would be very difficult for you to claim zero Incels are bad people.
3) Incel Tears is basically there to identify the worst elements of your community and hopefully provide support for good people that are in danger of being dragged down by the ugliest elements of your community.
4) This is Reddit, not the military, so it's not like either side has a commanding officer telling everyone how to behave. You're gonna have good and bad on both sides, so you have to focus on broad, general patterns instead of "Person X said _____, so now this is official policy."
That said, as a newbie that's looked at both sides, and as a guy that's fucking awful with women but has also had his handful of good experiences, as someone that has struggled with a lot of problems that you have, here are my primary issues:
1) There is no excuse for sadism, cruelty, wishing physical harm upon those that have not physically harmed you. Period. This is a red line, and crossing this Rubicon is the difference between "good person in need of help" and "bad person that needs to be stopped".
2) it's totally understandable to feel angry, frustrated, helpless, or alone. The urge to lash out is very real. It's counterproductive and is making your problems much, much worse, but it's also a basic component of human thought. What you need to do is recognize this and work around it rather than denying it.
3) So much of Inceldom is predicated on finding narratives and heuristics that deny yourself control in situations where you are actually in complete control. (This is one of my major weaknesses.)
4) THERE IS NO SHAME IN ADMITTING WEAKNESS. Everyone is weak in some way. We all get old and fat and die. But by the same token, you can't bullshit around this by making all your weaknesses things out of your control. You know why Incels are obsessed with "ugliness"? Because it's out of their control and allows them to shift the blame onto women by accusing them of being shallow. You never hear Incels say "I'm selfish" or "I'm not a very good listener" or "I don't hold myself accountable". Doing so would logically entail accepting fault and seeking proactive solutions instead of complaining on the Internet.
5) The true foundation of your unhappiness, the true dragon you need to slay, is your feeling of helplessness. A lack of control is essentially the lynchpin of your depression. If you are willing to work your ass off and tackle this issue head-on, you can be so, so much happier. And that doesn't mean turning into some Darth Vader/Doctor Doom control freak that wants to rule the universe. It means stepping back, taking a deep breath, and doing some serious thinking about what you can and cannot control in life. You can't pretend to be some god that can fuck any woman, anywhere, at any time, with the snap of your fingers. You can't expect other people must do as you say. You can't pretend you'll never die or that you are the most important person in history. Once you make peace with this, you will be much, much happier.
So here's my tl semicolon dr synopsis: I think most of the people here are in serious pain, and they're behaving like worse people than they actually are. And while that's totally understandable and normal, the way you choose to respond is what defines you as a man.
Are you willing to admit your own faults, your own weakness, and your own limitations, then try to improve them as best you can? Then you're a true man. Do you blame everyone else on earth for your problems and invent bullshit excuses so you can feel sorry for yourself? Then until you change your ways, you are not a man. You are a boy.

The thing about the "incel community" is that, on paper, it's a wonderful idea that could provide an emotional support network for good people that are going through a rough time, but in practice, it degenerated into a breeding ground for sociopaths and budding serial killers. And it really pisses me off, because there are good people struggling with a very real problem, but the Incel community is encouraging them to handle it in the worst possible way.
I truly believe that about a third of the people here need and deserve help and support. They're genuinely good people that deserve to be happy, but rather than helping them take concrete steps towards bettering themselves, you're encouraging their worst, most self-destructive impulses.
I'm not gonna bullshit here: The Incel community, in its current form, is basically a worst-case scenario for what happens when a person refuses to get treatment for severe depression. It's the psychological equivalent of someone that smokes four packs a day, sees signs that he's on the verge of contracting lung cancer, and decides to join a message board that encourages him to up himself to five packs a day. It's not helping you or anyone else. It's making things worse for everyone else, full stop.
You guys don't need to do this. Your lives really can get better. But you need to quit blaming women, quit blaming "Chad" and "Stacey", quit pretending the world owes you infinite sex from whoever you want, quit evading responsibility by blaming your looks instead of your behavior, and quit acting like selfish, entitled manbabies that want everything handed to them.

Okay, so let's start by getting a couple of bullet points out of the way:
1) I do not speak for all of Incel Tears and only learned of it about two weeks ago, but I understand its general vibe and largely agree with it.
2) There are some genuinely bad people in the Incel community that may actually pose a physical threat to others. You and I may disagree on how many there are, but it would be very difficult for you to claim zero Incels are bad people.
3) Incel Tears is basically there to identify the worst elements of your community and hopefully provide support for good people that are in danger of being dragged down by the ugliest elements of your community.
4) This is Reddit, not the military, so it's not like either side has a commanding officer telling everyone how to behave. You're gonna have good and bad on both sides, so you have to focus on broad, general patterns instead of "Person X said _____, so now this is official policy."
That said, as a newbie that's looked at both sides, and as a guy that's fucking awful with women but has also had his handful of good experiences, as someone that has struggled with a lot of problems that you have, here are my primary issues:
1) There is no excuse for sadism, cruelty, wishing physical harm upon those that have not physically harmed you. Period. This is a red line, and crossing this Rubicon is the difference between "good person in need of help" and "bad person that needs to be stopped".
2) it's totally understandable to feel angry, frustrated, helpless, or alone. The urge to lash out is very real. It's counterproductive and is making your problems much, much worse, but it's also a basic component of human thought. What you need to do is recognize this and work around it rather than denying it.
3) So much of Inceldom is predicated on finding narratives and heuristics that deny yourself control in situations where you are actually in complete control. (This is one of my major weaknesses.)
4) THERE IS NO SHAME IN ADMITTING WEAKNESS. Everyone is weak in some way. We all get old and fat and die. But by the same token, you can't bullshit around this by making all your weaknesses things out of your control. You know why Incels are obsessed with "ugliness"? Because it's out of their control and allows them to shift the blame onto women by accusing them of being shallow. You never hear Incels say "I'm selfish" or "I'm not a very good listener" or "I don't hold myself accountable". Doing so would logically entail accepting fault and seeking proactive solutions instead of complaining on the Internet.
5) The true foundation of your unhappiness, the true dragon you need to slay, is your feeling of helplessness. A lack of control is essentially the lynchpin of your depression. If you are willing to work your ass off and tackle this issue head-on, you can be so, so much happier. And that doesn't mean turning into some Darth Vader/Doctor Doom control freak that wants to rule the universe. It means stepping back, taking a deep breath, and doing some serious thinking about what you can and cannot control in life. You can't pretend to be some god that can fuck any woman, anywhere, at any time, with the snap of your fingers. You can't expect other people must do as you say. You can't pretend you'll never die or that you are the most important person in history. Once you make peace with this, you will be much, much happier.
So here's my tl semicolon dr synopsis: I think most of the people here are in serious pain, and they're behaving like worse people than they actually are. And while that's totally understandable and normal, the way you choose to respond is what defines you as a man.
Are you willing to admit your own faults, your own weakness, and your own limitations, then try to improve them as best you can? Then you're a true man. Do you blame everyone else on earth for your problems and invent bullshit excuses so you can feel sorry for yourself? Then until you change your ways, you are not a man. You are a boy.
Still think I'm full of shit? Then prove me wrong. Make me feel like some random Internet dipshit that totally underestimated you. Prove that with your actions, your words, and your thinking. Tally up alĺ of your weaknesses, do your best to improve them, and watch as so many things in life (not just your sex life) become infinitelt better.

You can't just go to an open field and work. What are you working on, what are you doing? Building? With what tools? Alternatively, you can just organize the whole job and then not do anything. Im careful to offer specific recommendations but im willing to bet leaving this place and any other Incel forum, for a long time would help.
