You don’t need 8 hours/day to lose weight. You just need to eat less. Avoiding processed calorie-dense food can help too because then you’re at least getting more food per kcal. As far as exercising goes, I guarantee most people can find one free hour in a day. If you can’t, then any time is better than none.

How does it take time to diet? If anything, it can take less time than the average food habits if you decide to cook in bulk.

You literally use more calories just by existing if you have more muscle mass, so while it might not be necessary, it takes a lot less time.
