I belong to the local running club. My best friend and I both do. I also really like to drink... a bit too much truth be told. Either whiskey and soda, or vodka and soda, beer is basically off the table. Admittedly I could drink some terrible piss water light Brew if I wanted to and get away with it, but if I'm going to have a beer I want a good one. And Irish Death for example is 222 calories per pint... that pretty much kills any calorie bonus I got for running 3 miles.

I also track every calorie that goes into my mouth, and have been keto / low carb for the last three years. The fact that I run in no way shape or form means that I can just in discriminately eat whatever the fuck I want and telling overweight people that they can continue their current diet as long as they go outside and run is just a straight up lie.

Miracle of Miracles, the fact that I do exercise regularly and watch my diet meticulously means that when I do want to splurge and have a few drinks, it's not the end of the world.
