Abusive can also mean psychological abuse. But let’s not say women abuse incels. Instead, what I would say is both incels and abused women are victims of circumstance, but only one of these groups get the sympathy of society.

If you end up with, say, an alcoholic husband, you're a victim of circumstance - but if he beats you up and manipulates you until you no longer have the mental capability to flee, you're a victim of his. In the same way, if a girl you love isn't interested in you, you're a victim of circumstance - but if she laughs at you, belittles you, and spreads rumors behind your back, you're a victim of hers.

So yes, incels can be abused by women. And it doesn't have to be physical. But targeted abuse is always the abuser's choice and different from being a victim of circumstance. I've seen poor guys under the heel of a manipulative woman, and they're no more responsible for their situation than a battered woman is. Being broken psychologically is no joke, even if there's zero violence.
