I like all varieties of metal, but mostly 90s-early 00s black metal. Probably my third most listened to genre after broad atmospheric and narrow hip hop.

For me the biggest problem with alot of 90s-00s metal is the sudden shift to being so technical (Of course it pales in comparison to how bad it is now) it sucks the life out of alot of bands when it feels like they're just going down a checklist of feats (specifically the drummers) they need to tick off. The lyrics specifically I think suffer the most as it just gets downright cringey at times as it just starts to sound like emo poetry.

For me I'd have to say my most listened genres are every form of electronic music you can think of, and Hip hop for sure.
