I will clarify. I'm not saying women are dumb or shallow or any other empty insult. Women by nature simply have no reason to be loyal til death, so they are not. They are concerned with the value a man gives for the sake of having offspring, be it genes, influence, or resources. This fundamental realization really pains men initially, since they obviously wish women were ideally loyal. They are concerned with the value a man gives for the sake of having offspring, be it genes, influence, or resources. Sure, the way you described it ultimately holds true, I don't know if it's because of nature though, I think it's just because of logical thinking of the woman (and man), but I think that's arguable. But you're kinda talking as if women are instictive animals looking for men to get impregnated by and men are just walking resources. Humans aren't instinctive animals like that.
What you said holds true in real life, but it's not as black and white and "biogical" as you say it, in real life. Both men and women would in general prefer someone who has more value in genes and resources. Women might be more attracted to resources and men to genes.
However, people don't think "I want to be with this person because they offer a better chance for my future children". You're forgetting some key points that are even more important: emotional connection, love.
Those are stronger than the more deep seated and perhaps more subconscious, but also logical "wish" of being with someone with more value for your offspring.
I don't really believe in being in a relationship just for the sake of it without actually loving each other/meaning something to each other. If you only get in a relationship because of the resources and genes of your partner, then yeah it could happen that one partner leaves the other one because they met someone else with better "value", with better resources and genes.
But if you actually love each other, you will want to be with each other, no matter what. How could you leave someone you like, love, and care for? You would do anything for them. You would never want to seperate with them.
I personally would never leave my boyfriend/husband even for the most good looking billionaire. Believe it or not. Because he would only be my boyfriend/husband in the first place if he actually means something to me. Being with and growing old with someone who you are connected to, who you truly love and who loves you back, who means everything to you, thus being incredibly happy with each other, can't nearly stand up to being with an attractive billionaire, no matter what.
You wouldn't even leave them for anyone. Even the thought of that repulses me.
