Guys like the one on the right suggest being a good provider, in some cases, a protector, and if things go well, a good role model as a father. Well, to put it shortly, if youre not just looking for a quick good time, its really hard to find a good guy. Anywhere that is a social atmosphere is full of fake guys, guys who are more in love with themselves than anyone else, closeted psychopaths, closeted gay men that are in denial, etc. Personally Ive given so much of myself, including my time to relationships that were a huge waste of time. This includes relationships with men that dont look like the guy on the right. I know theres plenty of crazy women out there, but I feel like they are pretty easy to identify and avoid as long as you dont let your penis do the thinking. Crazy men, however, come in many many forms, and when youve wasted enough years just trying to find an honestly decent relationship, but come up short, you get men saying youre old, used up, past your prime, etc., while theres 80 year old men dating 20 year old girls. I mean yeah, I get in most cases it may be for their money, but those old dudes dont care, theyre still happy. Things can suck for both sides, mostly for men when theyre younger, and mostly for women when theyre SLIGHTLY older, and for the rest of their lives, unless they stop caring about sex and stuff like that. Idk if/when Ill have to deal with something like that, but honestly, it feels like a death sentence.

Youre probably right about that. I just wish some men didnt act so mean spirited about it. For me, a good guy is dependable, not afraid to get his hands dirty, at least somewhat ambitious, at least moderately intelligent, a decent sense of humor, though its ok if hes not actually funny, just as long as he is self aware about that and other things about himself. One of my personal peeves with a guy is when he doesnt know when to stop. He needs to be honest, no matter what the truth is, and he needs to make me feel safe to tell the truth to him. Oh, and good hygiene is a big deal too. I know that doesnt all necessarily make someone a "good" or "bad" guy, but those are the qualities I personally look for.
