Yeah, I know there’s some great anime but the difference between both is that when you think of anime, you don’t think of berserk or devilman, you think of some pathetic romance one. I've been to some conventions where couple turn out is higher than expected. It's about as normal as geekdom is these days I guess. Casual conversations about nerd stuff is a lot more common now.

I still watch anime but I stay away from highschool romcoms now. Once you've seen the same tropes for over a decade, shit gets old real fast.
