Eh, I get that you might not be capable of emotionally feeling anything for victims of rape (which can include guys being victims of rape btw, you seem like the type of person to not be aware of that.) or simply not understanding the depth of the pain that is experienced through it.. But I still wanna say it, comparing literally anything to rape just isnt a good idea. If you arent confident in your argument of taxes being bad because.. As a rule of thumb to the topic of taxes I would say, others pay for you too if you think about it. Thats kind of how taxes work. How well taxes money in the end is used or how 'just' it is that payment of it is law is another topic.

How can you possibly even think that paying taxes is on any level to be compared to rape? Your definition of rape seems to be very oversimplified. For example, a girl of a very young age being forced into rape by death threats, or having her close family threatened if she does not obey - the rape reoccuring over the course of two years, most rape does include its fair share of emotional manipulation besides the rape, I doubt whatever you feel when having to pay taxes is compareable to the constant knowledge that one wrong move can snap someone elses neck, that you have to take on this fully fake persona to keep things in the way that is least painful, which is still pretty painful since in general rapists are sadists, then of course the side-effects rape and esp. prolonged sexual abuse has neurologically on the brain - as in your brain structure changes, traumatization changes how your brain works, Amygdala overreacts sends you into fight/flight/freeze when it is not appropiate, because each time the rape occurs your brain gets taught to fall into the survival mechanism of the brain a little faster. The Hippocampus is negatively affected by traumatization, your prefrontal cortex is also being wrecked - your brain is now trying to process memories it cannot possibly process that means you will get mentally ill and it will worsen your short-term memory by a lot. Endure that, having to smile at your rapist eitherway, not even being allowed to show how you actually feel - neither anger or sadness is a emotion you are allowed to feel other than if you want to trigger your rapists sadism, or maybe his vague self-awareness that he does not want to be reflected as a monster in somebodys eyes afterall. Having to hold your tongue while you want nothing more but to kill this person, but you have to always keep acting. Obviously a hostage situation is a more extreme example. But the brain and its different areals is ALWAYS very negatively affected with each traumatization, even if a rape only occurs one time. Seriously comparing any of this to paying taxes is laughable. Excuse my lengthy explanation as it most likely will not have used anything, but I suppose a small part of me hoped that youre seriously just not aware even by sheer logical reasoning of what damage rape causes.

I think the culture is hilarious. In a good way.
