Kudos for the latest posts......But, for this one....What about the beast?

Would be a great exception, but at the end he turns into a chad.. which I mean is fine, since it fits with the story but come on

I guess I forgot the ending, how fucked lol

She would have loved him regardless of what he looked like because it was his personality she fell in love with.

A classic case of Stockholm Syndrome, which I'm sure most of you would do if you could get away with it.

Actually, I believe there are many pieces of evidence in the movie that points to their relationship not being a case of Stockholm Syndrome. I would have to rewatch the movie to point them out though

And also dude what the fuck

which I'm sure most of you would do if you could get away with it.

A bit uncalled for. Not cool

I've seen this movie multiple times dude. Growing up, having a kid brother, and just enjoying the songs in general.

Stockholm Syndrome was the very definition of this movie. Girl gets kidnapped, kidnapper is mean at first, then turns into Mr. Nice Guy and girl falls for him. She is still his prisoner until he let her go, but she came back because she saw what she was brainwashed (mainly by the staff) to see. Their one motive was to break the spell to make them human again. They had to make it happen juuuuuust right. A girl who was seeking adventure and something new was the perfect victim as she had been sheltered. Her only escape was reading books that she was criticized for reading because she was a woman, which made her more of an outsider.

It was truly a perfect coincidence that her father was held captive by him first. Belle, being her good natured, naive self, would trade her life for her father's in an instant. That's what the heroes in her books do, they sacrifice. She could have stayed a silent prisoner for the rest of her time there. Instead, the staff immediately thought "Here is a girl who can break the spell for us, but we have to make her love this God awful person." So, with convincing, they were able to get her set up in a nice room, where as The Beast was going to have her rot in the cell. They sang to her, dressed her up, dressed him up, and convinced him to treat her like a human instead of a prisoner, all while knowing they needed to break one tiny little spell....but with a time limit.

It worked. The staff won.

The true winner in this movie was The Beast. He learned how to be human again, how to feel feelings other than rage, hate, and sadness. He learned how to love and accept himself. He showed courage and bravery, even at the cost of his own life. He was an innocent victim himself. He was also brainwashed to tolerate this girl, when he could have easily thrown her to the wolves (literally) and been done with it.

She would have loved him regardless of what he looked like because it was his personality she fell in love with.

..You realize he imprisoned her to begin with right? She was forced to live with him in the first place.

Typical unnecessary and accusatory fantasy, with a side of smug. Do you want some snark with that?

I literally just explained it to another person. Calm down there, buddy.

I literally just explained it to another person.

And? You only explained your reasoning for Beast's motive. It doesn't change the fact that you still made that incriminating comment.

He's rich. Then becomes rich and attractive.

Disney taught me that as long as you're a handsome, charming and rich prince, you can get the girl

Inb4 normies come in here going "but what about Shrek?" Shrek was a Chad among the Ogres, we see this when he drink that potion and he turns into a man. All the ladies swoon over him because he is a Chad.

Shrek is DreamWorks, not Disney.

So? They'll still use him as an example.

In Shrek 3, when he finds a community of ogres, he gets heightmogged and framemogged by every single other male ogre. There, we find out the truth: Shrek was an incel who became a hermit and found love through sheer luck.

He managed to win the war for the ogres and get Fiona in the end. So he did mog the other ogres in the end.

+1

Ironically, Disney etc has created that romantic absurd standards too for young girls.

Every girl is a princess!!

Yup

This has taught me that kissing an unconscious girl is NOT rape.

In the original story she is raped instead of kissed they tone it down.

Since he is chad that rape was actually consensual

He died in the book though. Also it was set in medieval times.

Pretty sure most people don't even think of the tone of the original stories.

To be fair they don't have any ugly princesses either

He gets a girlfriend in the sequel though.

Don't most of the sequels suck?

And in the second sequel he suicides.

Suicide is not a verb. The correct term is "he commits suicide".

Tbph I think most of the people here would be happier with Treasure Planet. One of a rare few disney movies where there's no romance arc in the main plot.

You're probably right. Hell I forgot about Treasure Planet due to all of their other movies overshadowing it severely. Underrated film for sure.

And to think that the minister was portrayed as the bad guy for trying to put that poor bastard out of his misery.

FROLODIDNOTHINGWRONG
